Denver police are investigating a late-night, two-vehicle crash that left one driver dead Sunday.
Around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, officers were at the scene of a crash on Interstate 70, near Central Park Boulevard, according to a statement from the Denver Police Department on X, the social media platform previously known as Twitter.
Paramedics transported one driver to the hospital, where they later died from their injuries, police said.
Westbound I-70 was closed at Central Park Boulevard for nearly seven hours, causing backups for Monday morning commuters.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
