Why CU Buffs coach Deion Sanders doesn’t have his gifted Colorado dream house just yet

Deion Sanders still doesn’t have a defensive coordinator. He also doesn’t technically have his gifted Colorado dream house … yet.

In a viral video posted by Deion Sanders Jr.’s Well Off Media channel last weekend, the CU football coach and Pro Football Hall of Famer was shown around a home worth $7.2 million between Boulder and Golden near Highway 93.

Multiple outlets reported that the property had been purchased by the coach’s sons as a gift to him.

However, records indicate it was still listed for purchase as of early Monday evening by Compass real estate agent Amanda Fein.

The agent declined comment when reached by The Post. Sources confirmed reports that no transaction by the Sanders family had been completed as of early Monday evening.

The 56-year-old football coach is entering the second season of a five-year deal with the Buffs that saw him slated to earn a contracted salary of $5.5 million in 2023 before bonuses and incentives.

CU posted a 4-8 record last fall, Sanders’ first as an FBS coach. While it was a three-win improvement over 2022’s 1-11 campaign, the season ended with the Buffs on a six-game losing streak and a last-place finish in the Pac-12.

Sanders and CU open their 2024 campaign this fall at home against North Dakota State on Aug. 31 at Folsom Field.
