CU Buffs, Deion Sanders: We’ll hold public practice at All-City Stadium in Denver next Friday

Coach Prime is bringing his show to Denver.

CU Buffs football coach Deion Sanders told reporters Friday that he’s “scheduled an off-campus” practice for his program, and plans to hold it at All-City Stadium on Franklin Street.

Sanders said he plans for the practice to be open and that it’s tentatively scheduled for next Friday.

“(Want) to open it to everyone, and do our thing,” Sanders said during CU’s annual fall football media day.

“When you practice in front of company, no one else is going to embarrass themselves. Everyone’s going to go hard.”

The Buffs open Sanders’ second season on Aug. 29 at Folsom Field against North Dakota State.

CU finished 4-8 last season, last in the Pac-12, but will move to the Big 12 for the 2024 season.

Baylor game sold out: The Buffs’ re-introduction to Big 12 football — a date with Baylor on Sept. 20 at Folsom Field — promised to draw a crowd no matter what. As it turns out, every seat will be accounted for.

The university announced Friday that the homecoming game against the Bears is all sold out. It marks the second complete sellout of the 2024 season along with a Family Weekend matchup against Cincinnati on Oct. 26.

The game against Baylor will be CU’s first Big 12 contest in 13 years. It will also be the fourth of the season after the opener Aug. 29 vs. North Dakota State at Folsom, followed by road trips to Nebraska (Sept. 7) and CSU (Sept. 14) over the next two weeks.

CU sold out its entire home slate last year — Coach Prime’s first in Boulder. Single-game tickets remain for the NDSU game, as well as home tilts against Kansas State (Oct. 12), Utah (Nov. 16) and Oklahoma State (Nov. 29).
