5:14 p.m.: Weather concerns at Denver International Airport have contributed to late arrivals and flight delays. Inbound flights to DIA are being held at origin airports an average of 56 minutes, according to FlightAware.com, and from 3 to 7 p.m. 114 departing fights have been delayed.

5:00 p.m.: A special weather statement is issued for a widespread area north of Denver to include Greeley, Windsor and Evans. The posting is until 5:30 p.m. and forecasters expect hail and a possible landspout.

5:00 p.m.: A flash flood warning for part of the Cameron Peak burn area has been canceled as heavy rain moved out of the vicinity, the National Weather Service said.

4:45 p.m.: A flash flood warning is posted for the Broadmoor area of Colorado Springs until 6:45 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The warning area includes about 21,000 residents and a hospital.

4:45 p.m.: A flash flood warning is posted for the Cameron Peak burn area where rain is falling Friday afternoon.

The warning area includes Pennock Pass, Crystal Mountain, the Retreat, and several county roads in and around the east and central portion of the Cameron Peak Burn Area, according to the National Weather Service. The warning is posted until 6:00 p.m.

Weather radar observation indicated heavy rain in the area about 3 p.m., the weather service said.

South of the warning area, in Boulder County, Lyons residents have been urged to prepare for possible flooding along the St. Vrain River for the next few days, according to the Longmont Times-Call. Recent rainfall and snowmelt in surrounding mountains and higher elevations has the river running hard and fast. Some residents close to the river have been advised that they should be prepared to evacuate should an order come.
