At-risk teen missing from Colorado Springs, police ask for public’s help in locating her

An at-risk teen is missing from Colorado Springs and authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating her.

Elizabeth “River” Cathleen Banoczi, 16, was reported missing on Sunday by staff at a local group home, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department. She was last seen leaving the facility on foot.

Investigators say River is at risk. She is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 150 pounds, with short, light brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink and white flannel jacket, black sweats or pink shorts. River has a small black backpack, she may be wearing tan, square-toed, pull-on Roper cowboy boots with an American flag on the shaft of the boot. River is known to pass through truck stops, police said.
