Looks like the baseball field isn’t the only diamond Colorado Rockies player Cole Tucker has been working with.
Tucker and actress/singer Vanessa Hudgens announced their engagement on Instagram this week by posting pictures from Paris, including one of a stunning diamond on Hudgen’s finger with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
“YES. We couldn’t be happier,” the “High School Musical” star wrote in the caption.
The official announcement comes about a week after TMZ Sports first reported the news. Tucker popped the question “sometime at the end of 2022,” the pub said.
As Hudgens told Drew Barrymore in 2021, the two first met during quarantine in a Zoom-based meditation group. Everyone was sending GIFs of themselves in a group chat prior to the session when she noticed someone sent an image of a baseball player sliding onto base.
“I thought it was a joke, so I just responded hot,” Hudgens said. “And then I get on the Zoom and I’m like, who is that?”
A Denver Post reader recently asked our Rockies reporter Patrick Saunders if Tucker would make the opening day lineup. Unfortunately, Saunders said the outfielder is “a long shot to make the Rockies’ roster.”
