Snow and below-freezing temperatures are expected to snarl road conditions across Colorado as several cold fronts are in the forecast to bring the coldest weather of the season through this weekend.
7:15 p.m. Loveland Pass reopened at about 6:50 p.m., according to CDOT. The highway is still snow-packed and icy, according to the agency’s road conditions.
3:30 p.m.: Loveland Pass is closed in both directions between Interstate 70 and the Arapahoe Basin ski area for safety concerns, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. Highway cameras show snow-packed roads with no visible pavement.
Vehicles carrying hazardous materials should stage at Eisenhower Tunnel on I-70 and will be run at the top of the hour as traffic allows, according to CDOT.
This is a developing story.
