Westbound Interstate 70 closed due to crashes and slideoffs, power outages sweep across northwestern Colorado

3:45: Power outages caused by wet snow are being reported throughout northwestern Colorado, from Steamboat Springs west to Craig and north toward Baggs. Crews from the Yampa Valley Electric Association are working to get power back on to businesses and residents, but a company spokesperson said people need to be prepared to be without service or power for a while because the outages cover such a wide area.
