1. Cherry Creek (5-0) won at No. 6 Regis Jesuit, 47-28: Running back Jordan Herron scored three touchdowns and QB Brady Vodicka had a passing TD and rushing TD in a 62-second Bruins burst near the end of the third quarter to give Creek a fifth straight win over Regis. Next week: vs. Cherokee Trail, 7 p.m. Sept. 28.

2. Pine Creek (5-0) won at Mullen, 35-0: The Eagles shut out an opponent for the second straight week and have now given up one touchdown over their last three games combined. Next week: vs. Fountain-Fort Carson, 6 p.m. Sept. 28.

3. Columbine (5-0) won vs. Fort Collins, 57-13: The Rebels rolled for 422 rushing yards, with senior Josh Snyder needing just four carries to reach 120 yards and two touchdowns. Brennan Goodwin, Troy Johnson and Jack Hansen each had interceptions for a Columbine defense that shut out Fort Collins through three quarters. Next week: at Pomona, 6 p.m. Sept. 28.

4. Ralston Valley (4-1) won vs. Valor Christian, 22-21: The Mustangs and Eagles produced yet another instant classic, with Ralston Valley QB Logan Madden finding Jackson Hansen for an 11-yard touchdown pass and game-winning two-point conversion with 17 seconds left. Madden ran in two other TDs as the Mustangs overcame Gabe Sawchuk’s big night (18 carries, 119 yards). Next week: at Lakewood, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 29.

5. Arapahoe (4-1) won at Rock Canyon, 24-0: The Warriors rebounded from a heart-breaking last-second loss to Columbine by shutting out previously unbeaten Rock Canyon. QB Michael Moynihan had one TD passing and another running in a 17-0 first half. Next week: at Smoky Hill, 7 p.m. Sept. 29.

6. Regis Jesuit (2-3) lost vs. No. 1 Cherry Creek, 47-28: Albert Medina found the end zone twice in the first half, including on a 51-yard Hail Mary from Peyton Lindell to close out the second quarter and pull within a touchdown. But Creek responded with three consecutive TDs to go up 47-21 with 9:06 to go. Next week: at Douglas County, 6 p.m. Sept. 29.

7. Grandview (4-1) won at Pomona, 35-14: QB Liam Szarka had two touchdowns passing and two rushing in a 28-0 Grandview second half as the Wolves rallied from a 14-7 halftime deficit. Next week: vs. Eaglecrest, 7 p.m. Sept. 29.

8. Mountain Vista (4-1) idle: The Golden Eagles get their Week Zero bye week just before the start of league play and after reeling off four straight wins. Next week: at ThunderRidge, 7 p.m. Sept. 29.

9. Castle View (5-0) won vs. Cherokee Trail, 23-7: The Sabercats’ run of consecutive games holding an opponent to single-digit scoring moved to five after they totaled 10 tackles for loss in a win over CT. Senior Owen McPherson had two sacks and junior Jackson Brenner three TFLs, while Ethan Gonzales and Aaron Perry both topped 90 yards rushing for Castle View. 10. Chatfield (4-1) won at 4A No. 5 Dakota Ridge, 45-21: QB Jake Jones and Drew Rohlman connected for three touchdown passes, and Jones ran in two more for a rivalry game win. Next week: at Arvada West, 7 p.m. Sept. 29.

Class 4A

1. Palmer Ridge (5-0) won at Ponderosa, 34-12: QB Derek Hester had 192 total yards and two TDs, Holden Wright ran in two TDs and Palmer Ridge scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to turn a tight game into a rout. Next week: at Rampart, 1 p.m. Sept. 30.

2. Erie (4-1) won at Windsor, 40-8: QB Blake Barnett found three different receivers for touchdowns and ran in three of his own in a Tigers rout. Next week: vs. No. 8 Loveland, 7 p.m. Sept. 29.

3. Pueblo West (4-1) won vs. Far Northeast, 14-0: QB Gavin Lockett broke a defensive stalemate with one touchdown passing and one rushing in the second half. Next week: vs. Mesa Ridge, 7 p.m. Sept. 29.

4. Montrose (3-2) won vs. 3A No. 2 Lutheran, 36-14: The Red Hawks ground out another nonleague win to start the season 3-2 for the second straight year. Next week: at Grand Junction Central, 7 p.m. Sept. 28.

5. Dakota Ridge (3-2) lost vs. 5A No. 10 Chatfield, 45-21: QB Blake Palladino ran in a pair of touchdowns, the last tying the game at 21 with 2:29 left in the third quarter, but the Eagles were shut out the rest of the way. Next week: at No. 6 Broomfield, noon Sept. 30.

6. Broomfield (3-2) won vs. Brighton, 28-22: The Bulldogs took a 22-21 lead on Blake George’s long TD hookup with Jackson Quammie and subsequent two-point conversion, but Broomfield responded with a scoring drive midway through the fourth quarter and held on from there. Next week: vs. No. 5 Dakota Ridge, noon Sept. 30.

7. Heritage (3-2) won at Rampart, 42-20: The Eagles have ripped off three straight wins, all by 20-plus point margins, after starting the season with back-to-back losses to ranked 5A foes. Next week: vs. Fruita Monument, 6 p.m. Sept. 29.

8. Loveland (4-1) won at Greeley Central, 63-19: A week after getting shut out for the first time in seven years, the Red Wolves went nuclear with their largest scoring output since putting 63 on Niwot in 2017. Next week: at No. 2 Erie, 7 p.m. Sept. 29.

9. Golden (4-1) won vs. Palisade, 27-12: Kalin Hufford hooked up with Ethan Bonafede for a pair of TD passes and Luc Chevalier booted two field goals in the Demons win. Next week: at Bear Creek, 7 p.m. Sept. 28.

10. Thomas Jefferson (5-0) won vs. Standley Lake, 37-7: The Spartans scored 31 points in the second half to move to 5-0 for the second time in four seasons. Next week: at Vista Peak Prep, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 29.
