Ciara and Russell Wilson’s clothing store will close in Lone Tree, move to new location

When one store closes, another one opens. At least that’s the case for House of LR&C, the retail clothing store owned by Ciara and Russell Wilson.

The Denver-based celebrity couple is closing its brick-and-mortar location at Lone Tree’s Park Meadows mall almost exactly one year after it opened. The business will shutter on July 31 when its lease ends.

But fans locally and those traveling to Denver will still have the opportunity to shop at House of LR&C, as it will also soon open its first retail location within an airport. The shop, which sells original fashion brands developed by the Wilsons, opens in Concourse C at Denver International Airport on July 18.

The shuffle appears to mark a change in strategy for House of LR&C, which just last year aspired to open a total of 10 retail stores throughout the U.S. According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, the company has closed or intends to close all but one of its brick-and-mortar stores.

“Our omnichannel strategy going forward will continue to drive growth across our fashion brands online at thehouseoflrc.com, growing our valued wholesale partnerships including Nordstrom, Saks off Fifth, and Revolve, and focusing on brick-and-mortar locations with airport destinations in key markets,” reads a statement from House of LR&C provided to The Denver Post.

Denver International Airport is home to the first store thanks to a partnership with travel retailer Hudson. In 2022, House of LR&C announced plans to open inside Chicago O’Hare, though it’s unclear when or if that will still happen.

The House of LR&C is named for the company’s values – love, respect and care – but also shares the initials with “love Russell and Ciara.” The store sells clothing brands LITA by Ciara, Human Nation and Russell Wilson’s Good Man Brand, which leverage sustainably and ethically sourced materials. A line of children’s apparel, 3Brand, was also available at the Lone Tree location.
