Movies at McGregor

With its expansive outdoor plaza serving as a bustling gathering space for baseball fans and families, McGregor Square (1900 Wazee St.) in Denver is adding another reason to sit back and relax this summer with its Movies at McGregor series. Enjoy popular flicks at the outdoor plaza all summer long on a giant LED screen. Admission is free. Bring a blanket and find a spot on the lawn or choose a table in the plaza — both are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Popcorn, candy, soft drinks and bar selections are available for purchase. The series kicks off with a Fourth of July double feature: “Top Gun” at 1 p.m. and “Top Gun: Maverick” at 3 p.m. Also this month, a Star Wars double feature is scheduled for July 20. Union Station’s 10th Anniversary

All aboard, Denver! From July 12 to 14, Denver Union Station will commemorate the 10th anniversary of its revitalization with a three-day celebration: Denver Union Station: Making History … Again. It’s time for the 2024 Arapahoe County Fair, with four days of family fun from July 25 to 28. The fair takes place at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds (25690 Quincy Ave.) in Aurora. Veg out at VegFest Colorado on July 27 and 28.  The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Tivoli Quad (1000 Larimer St.) on the Auraria Campus in Denver. The vegan-focused event includes seminars, exhibits, cooking demos, kids’ activities, tons of food samples and more. Attendees will learn from world-renowned experts on health, diet, environmental issues, animal rights and about the many advantages of plant-based living. Through mid-July, tickets are $10 for adults per day in advance online. A weekend pass is also available for $18. Children 12 and younger are admitted for free.
