The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect, or suspects, who fired gunshots into multiple homes in Centennial.
The incident happened at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the area of East Progress Circle and South Flanders Court, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
The sheriff’s office received multiple reports about shots being fired, including one caller who said that five shots were fired and then a vehicle took off at a high speed while more shots were fired.
A resident in the 5200 block of South Flanders Street reported to the sheriff’s office that a bullet was fired through a living room window and traveled through a wall. The bullet then struck a chair armrest where a 7-year-old was on a computer. The bullet missed the boy by mere inches, the release said.
Deputies found multiple shell casings in the area. There were no injuries, and the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with doorbell or surveillance cameras in the area with suspicious activity recorded, or anyone who has information on a suspect or suspects, is asked to call a sheriff’s tip line at 720-874-8477.
