A stretch of intense summer heat hasn’t kept Broncos fans from turning out to training camp.

Attendance at the first week of Broncos training camp is up 42% compared to the first week a year ago and retail revenue is up 56%, according to data provided by the club. Denver is in its second season of using a ticketing system where attendance is free for fans but a mobile ticket is required for entry. Before camp, president Damani Leech told The Denver Post that the data collected in Year 1 would help this summer and that appears to be coming to fruition.

In addition to the attendance bump to 1,951 per practice, 95% of fan survey responses say the experience at camp practice is as good or better than it was last year. The same measure in 2023 comparing to 2022 was 84%.

More than a third of fans surveyed say it is their first time at a Broncos training camp practice.

Denver hasn’t had the same raw number of people at camp practice since it started abiding by Arapahoe County’s capacity restriction of 3,000 per practice last summer. In July 2022, the Broncos announced an attendance of 7,121 for a practice.

Currently the ticketing website for training camp shows available tickets for Aug. 1, 14 and 15 but none for the other seven open dates over the coming two-plus weeks. The team is releasing returned and some held-back tickets the evening before each practice.
