The Broncos had five picks on Day 3 of the NFL Draft. Get to know the new players coming to Denver after the Broncos took quarterback Bo Nix on Day 1 and edge rusher Jonah Elliss on Day 2.
WR Troy Franklin
Round/pick: 4th/No. 102
Age: 21
Height/weight: 6-foot-3/187 pounds
College: Oregon
Hometown: East Palo Alto, Calif.
Notable: Franklin was the second Oregon player taken in the 2024 NFL draft, and is now reuniting with Ducks quarterback Bo Nix. Last season, Franklin was one of the top wide receivers in the nation, as he set Oregon’s single-season records for receiving yards (1,383) and touchdown receptions (14th).
CB Kris Abrams-Draine
Round/pick: 5th/No. 145
Age: 22
Height/weight: 5-11/178
College: Missouri
Hometown: Mobile, Alabama
Notable: Abrams-Draine is the fifth player from Missouri to be selected by the Broncos in franchise history. He was named second-team All-American by the Associated Press after recording 16 passes defended and four interceptions in 2023. Abrams-Draine, a wide receiver-turned-cornerback, had at least 10 pass breakups in each of the last three seasons and ran the 40 in 4.44 seconds at the combine.
RB Audric Estime
Round/pick: 5th/No. 147
Age: 20
Height/weight: 5-11/227
College: Notre Dame
Hometown: Nyack, New York
Notable: Estime is the first running back selected by the Broncos since Javonte Williams in 2021 (Jaleel McLaughlin was an undrafted free agent). He was one of the most productive running backs in the nation in 2023, as he rushed for 1,341 yards (fifth most in program history) and 18 touchdowns. Estime averaged 111.8 rushing yards per game, but likely fell in the draft because he ran 4.71 in the 40-yard dash at the combine.
WR Devaughn Vele
Round/pick: 7th/No. 235
Age: 26
Height/weight: 6-5/210
College: Utah
Hometown: San Diego, California
Notable: Vele played in 47 career games (28 starts) at Utah, racking up 1,689 yards and nine touchdowns. After Vele went for 695 receiving yards in 2022, he led the team with 593 yards last season. He recorded at least 100 yards in three games, including a 145-yard performance against Washington last November.
OL Nick Gargiulo
Round/pick: 7th/No. 256

Height/weight: 6-5/318
College: South Carolina
Hometown: Yorktown Heights, New York
Notable: Gargiulo played in 37 career games in college (25 with Yale and 12 with South Carolina). Last season, Gargiulo started in seven games at center and five at left guard. With the Broncos already stacked at center, his ability to line up at guard could ensure him a spot on the roster.
