Next time you’re thinking about booking a staycation, consider where you might get the best sleep.
U.S. News & World Report recently took the guesswork out of booking accommodations with its most recent ranking of the best hotels nationally and around the globe, featuring five Colorado establishments among the top 100 in the United States.
The publication honored The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs as the best hotel in Colorado and the No. 19 hotel nationwide based on expert and user opinions, including reviews from Trip Advisor. Like all its hotel rankings, U.S. News & World Report only spotlights luxury hotels and resorts, meaning those “that consistently receive a 4-, 4.5- or 5-star ‘hotel class’ rating,” per the pub’s methodology.
The Little Nell in Aspen came in at No. 49 on the ranking of the country’s best hotels, followed by Four Seasons Resort and Residences in Vail at No. 58, Hotel Jerome in Aspen at No. 64, and the Four Seasons Hotel Denver at No. 99.
Looking at the ranking of Colorado’s best hotels, the aforementioned places took the top five spots, followed by Madeline Hotel & Residences in Telluride, The Sebastian in Vail, Viceroy Snowmass in Aspen, Sonnenalp in Vail and Clayton Members Club & Hotel in Denver.
“The travel industry has evolved over the last decade, highlighting the need to support and recognize hotels that maintain excellent standards and consistently provide guests with outstanding hospitality,” said Zach Watson, senior travel editor at U.S. News, in a statement. “The 2023 Best Hotels rankings offer a list of dependable places to stay for every type of trip, from solo trips to romantic getaways to family vacations.”
