A fire broke out Saturday evening in the Golden Gate Canyon area in the 4200 block of Bear Road.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office had issued a pre-evacuation notice for the area northwest of Bear Road and Golden Gate Canyon Road that has since been lifted.
“All evacuation and pre-evacuation orders have been lifted for the #BearFire. Golden Gate Fire and multiple fire agencies did a great job creating a line around the fire. They continue to knock the fire down, do not expect it to grow, and will monitor overnight & into tomorrow,” the sheriff’s office said in a tweet.
Colorado 93 from Golden to Crawford Gulch Road is closed, with no estimate of reopening.
