A 57-year-old Aurora woman has died after she was struck by a Suburban while she was running across South Parker Road late Sunday night, according to the Aurora Police Department.

The crash was reported at the intersection of South Parker Road and East Dartmouth Avenue at 10:15 p.m. Sunday.

The initial finding shows the woman was running across Parker Road when she was struck by a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban driven by a 67-year-old Aurora man, Aurora police said Tuesday

People passing by performed CPR on the woman until emergency responders arrived, and she was transported to a local hospital. She later died from her injuries. Her identity will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.

The driver of the Suburban reported the crash to 911 and cooperated with the investigation, according to Aurora police.

The crash is the 60th traffic-related death so far this year in Aurora.
