Three families are displaced after a residential fire severely damaged single-family homes on the same block in Aurora.
The fires broke out in the 17400 block of East Whitaker Drive, according to Aurora Fire Rescue.
A large plume of smoke was visible in the area, and firefighters urged people to stay away from the multiple fires so crews could quickly and safely access the neighborhood and the properties.
“Please avoid the area,” AFR said on Twitter.
The response to the two-alarm fire included seven engines, four ladder trucks, three battalion chiefs and dozens of firefighters. AFR first reported the fire on Twitter at 2:28 p.m.
At 5:02 p.m. firefighters said that three families are displaced from three fire-damaged homes. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fires is under investigation.
