At 11:26 a.m. on Saturday, a 22-year-old female skier collided with a tree on the Exhibition run at Aspen Highlands, according to an Aspen Skiing Company press release.
According to the press release, ski patrol received a call and responded immediately. The woman was unconscious and non-responsive, and advanced lifesaving measures were initiated by ski patrol. They were in contact with the ER doctor at Aspen Valley Hospital, and at 12:02 p.m., the woman was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Her name has been withheld due to notification of first of kin.
