All evacuations were lifted Sunday night in the Arrowhead Fire that ignited in the Poudre Canyon in Larimer County earlier in the day.
The official twitter account for the Canyon Lakes Ranger District – U.S. Forest Service land west of Fort Collins – reported Sunday evening that firefighters had a “successful initial attack” on the fire and that minimal growth was expected overnight.
The last reported size of the fire was seven acres late Sunday afternoon. Containment had reached 50%.
The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office had issued a voluntary evacuation order earlier Sunday from Riverside Drive to the US Forest Service Visitor Center on Poudre Canyon Road (Highway 14).
A Red Cross site that was set up at Cache La Poudre IB Middle School was closed Sunday evening.
The Arrowhead Fire was burning in the area of Highway 14 and Arrowhead. It closed Highway 14 for much of Sunday afternoon.
