Police deactivated an Amber Alert on Saturday after officers arrested a 30-year-old mother on charges of violating a parental custody order and abducing her three children.
The children are safe, Brighton police said.
The siblings had been reported missing by the family members in Brighton who had legal custody of the children, but were spotted in the Colorado Springs area traveling eastbound, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Police issued an Amber Alert on Saturday morning, saying they believed all three siblings were with their non-custodial mother and were “concerned for the safety of the children.”
The Colorado Springs Police Department located and arrested the mother, who had an active arrest warrant out of Denver on child abuse charges, Brighton police said in a news release.
