Just like the rapidly growing Northern Colorado communities it serves, Aims Community College is a diverse and thriving place to learn and work. With four modern campuses in Greeley, Windsor, Loveland, and Fort Lupton, Aims is an inclusive and supportive institution. The college is dedicated to accessible, high-quality education for all students and prides itself on fostering an environment where employees are appreciated, and growth is available to everyone. It is an ideal place to work for dedicated individuals who care about improving the lives of others and the community.
Community-Oriented Work Environment
At the heart of Aims’ mission is its commitment to community growth and prosperity. Aims offers opportunities for fulfilling work that impacts both students and the community at large. By prioritizing hiring employees who care about making a difference, Aims ensures equitable, inclusive, and affordable education for all who seek it.
Aims supports students with services including counseling, a food pantry, low-cost textbooks and open educational resources, tutoring and more. Beyond the important work of supporting students, Aims offers faculty and staff many ways to give back, including an impressive 30 hours of annual paid leave for volunteering.
“We call ourselves a ‘Community of Care’ here at Aims, and we truly are,” said Dee Shultz, Chief Human Resources Officer. “We prioritize people’s wellbeing because that’s what’s ultimately going to lead to their success.”
Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
Aims is dedicated to fostering an environment where everyone (students and employees alike) feel valued, respected, included, and heard. Belonging, justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (BaJEDI) are paramount to what Aims does, and are incorporated throughout the operations of the college.
Ample Professional Development Opportunities
Aims Community College offers a unique work culture centered around employee growth and career improvement. Employees are encouraged to attend trainings and conferences to expand their skills and knowledge and to establish new initiatives. The Aims Center for Professional Development (CPD) offers career growth opportunities via an online training library. The CPD also grants up to $2,500 annually for conferences, certifications, credentialing, seminars, training, and more for eligible employees.
State-of-the-Art Technology and Facilities
Aims is committed to continually investing in cutting-edge technology and equipment in modern classrooms, labs, and training spaces. Students at Aims get to learn using state-of-the-art equipment, including flight simulators, CDL driving simulators, an Anatomage table that simulates human cadavers, a simulated city for emergency services program training, a drone fabrication and design lab, and more. Employees have access to the most up-to-date technology as well. These investments make employees’ work easier and more impactful.
The college also invests in modern buildings and facilities to serve the campus community and provide spaces for the general public. For example, the new Welcome Center at the Greeley campus offers student services in one central location and also serves as a versatile event space for the college and the broader Greeley community. It hosts conferences, entertainment, commencement ceremonies, and more.
