Parker police arrested a man who trains young athletes in the south metro area on suspicion of child sex assault.
Aaron Carrado, 48, has been arrested for investigation of four counts of sexual assault of a child by a person in a position of trust, four counts of unlawful sexual contact, and two counts of sexual exploitation of a child, according to a news release.
Police identified Carrado as the owner of Strength in Christ Athletes, a Parker business that was formerly in Centennial. A website for the youth training business describes Carrado as a former collegiate athlete who played in a professional arena football league.
Carrado, according to the SIC Athletes website, was a biblical studies major in college, with a minor in exercise science.
“Aaron’s goal is to dedicate his skills to the creation and nurturing of an athlete’s performance and fitness, along with their well-being and character building,” the website said.
Police investigators suspect that there may be additional victims.
“We want to encourage anyone who thinks they may have been a victim…or knows someone who may have been a victim” to call Detective Bev Wilson at 303-805-6561, police said.
