The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner identified the man killed in a shooting early Wednesday in the 2300 block of Broadway as 40-year-old Keith Elliot.
Elliot died as a result of a gunshot wound and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner.
Denver police reported the shooting in the 2300 block of Broadway in a post at about 1:30 a.m. on X, formerly known as Twitter. Nearly eight hours later, the department in the late morning that the victim, who was found with an “unknown extent of injuries,” had died.
