Class 5A

1. Cherry Creek (10-0) won at Grandview, 45-22: The Bruins trailed in the second half for the second straight week, with Liam Szarka’s second TD run giving Grandview a 16-14 edge in the third quarter. But Creek QB Brady Vodicka answered with touchdown passes to Max Lovett (18 yards) and Tyson Mauck (61 yards) to retake control of the game, then added another on the last play of the third quarter to lock down the Bruins’ first unbeaten run through Centennial League play since 2020. 2. Columbine (10-0) won vs. Chatfield, 35-14: Senior quarterback Reeve Holliday threw TD passes to James Basinger and Hunter Hamilton in his first game back from having appendix surgery and the Rebels wrapped up their first unbeaten run through league play since doing it two seasons in a row in 2017 and ’18. 3. Arapahoe (8-2) won vs. Eaglecrest, 31-27: Raptors QB Joe Steiner hooked up with Logan Ryan for touchdown passes of 1, 18 and 13 yards, the last giving Eaglecrest a 27-24 lead with 9:04 left. But Arapahoe immediately marched down the field and QB Michael Moynihan found Andrew Smart from 5 yards out for their second scoring hookup of the night, and the Warriors held on from there. Trajan Frasier added a pair of TD runs for Arapahoe. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

4. Ralston Valley (8-2) won at Arvada West, 27-14: Trailing 14-10 at halftime, the Mustangs scored 17 unanswered points in the final two quarters to pull away from A-West. QB Logan Madden found Jackson Hansen for a pair of touchdown passes in the second half, including a 70-yard screen pass on the opening possession of the third quarter for the go-ahead score. 5. Mountain Vista (8-2) lost at No. 9 Valor Christian, 39-34: Two interceptions and a botched punt attempt put the Golden Eagles in a 36-14 halftime hole they were unable to come back from. QB Austyn Modrzewski threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another, and Jack Blais ran in a pair of TDs, the last pulling MV within a score with two minutes to go. But the Golden Eagles were unable to recover the ensuing onside kick. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

6. Pine Creek (9-1) won at Chaparral, 52-2: Jonathan Coar ran in two touchdowns and had another passing, Cameron Cooper threw three TDs passes (two to Elijah Roy) and the Eagles took a 44-0 lead into the break en route to clinching a league title. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

7. Regis Jesuit (6-4) won at Fountain-Fort Carson, 45-7: Albert Medina scored on a 77-yard punt return in the first quarter and 14-yard pass from Peyton Lindell with 18 seconds left in the second quarter to help push Regis to a 31-0 halftime lead. Lindell ran in another TD as part of the first-half onslaught, while Grayson McPherson returned an interception for a score. Kai Shelton then put things away for good with a pick-6 of his own with 11:00 left in the third quarter. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

8. Legend (7-3) won at Douglas County, 41-0: Junior running back Jaden Lawrence rolled for 233 yards and two touchdowns on 34 carries, and three Titans defenders came up with interceptions in their second shutout of the season. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

9. Valor Christian (6-4) won vs. No. 5 Mountain Vista, 39-34: Valor claimed its ninth straight league title behind an opportune defensive effort against 5A’s most prolific passer. The Eagles picked off Austyn Modrzewski twice in the first half, one of which was returned 83 yards for a touchdown by Israel Waitman. Senior RB Gabe Sawchuk ran in a pair of TDs in the first quarter, and QB Asher Weiner added a pair of TDs in the second quarter — the last giving the Eagles a 36-14 lead with seven seconds left in the half that proved to be enough. 10. Fairview (9-1) won vs. Rocky Mountain, 64-22: The Knights put the finishing touches on a Front Range League title with three touchdown passes from junior QB Bekkem Kritza and a pair of scoring runs from Brock Kolstad as part of a 45-7 run to begin the game. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

Class 4A

1. Palmer Ridge (10-0) won vs. Vista Ridge, 51-0: The Bears completed their rampage through league play with their third shutout in four league games and fourth overall this season. Palmer Ridge outscored league opponents 202-7 this fall. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

2. Erie (9-1) won at Greeley West, 53-6: The Tigers close out the regular season by scoring 53 points in the first half, marking the third straight that they topped 50. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

3. Montrose (8-2) won at No. 10 Pueblo West, 33-7: The Red Hawks clinched a third straight league championship with two touchdown runs from Blake Griffin and a strong defensive effort that saw the Cyclones go scoreless until late in the fourth quarter. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

4. Broomfield (8-2) won vs. No. 7 Heritage, 28-19: Broomfield rallied from down 13-7 at the break to beat Heritage for the third time in a calendar year and wrap up a 4A Metro 2 League championship. Junior Mikhail Benner was the late-game hero, providing a big stop on a two-point conversion that could have tied the game, then scoring on a 46-yard TD reception. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

5. Dakota Ridge (7-3) won at Standley Lake, 49-6: The Eagles capped an unbeaten run through league play by topping 40 points for the third time in four games. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

6. Ponderosa (7-3) won at Bear Creek, 45-0: Sean Davis ran in three TDs and Max Mervin one in a 31-0 first half and the Mustangs defense notched its first shutout of the year to close out the regular season on a five-game win streak. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

7. Heritage (6-4) lost at No. 4 Broomfield, 28-19: Heritage managed just one score over the final two quarters, then saw its potential game-tying two-point conversion in the fourth quarter stopped as Broomfield denied the Eagles a league championship for the second year in a row. 8. Thomas Jefferson (9-1) won vs. Denver South, 21-12: The Spartans scored a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to turn a 12-7 deficit entering the game’s final 12 minutes into a victory. TJ quarterback Dimitri Haralambopoulos found Doren Sacha for a 49-yard scoring pass, and the latter also had an interception in the win. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

9. Fruita Monument (6-3) Idle: The Wildcats sat idle in the final weekend of the regular season after a home game against Adams City was canceled. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

10. Pueblo West (6-4) lost vs. No. 3 Montrose, 33-7: The Cyclones didn’t score a touchdown until late in the fourth quarter as their hopes for a three-way tie atop the league standings were thwarted. Next week: TBD state playoffs.

1. Green Mountain (9-0) won at Littleton, 58-0. Next week: vs. Skyview, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2.
