Flights arriving at Denver International Airport are delayed by two hours because of thunderstorms, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
There were 791 flights delayed at DIA as of 9 p.m., according to the flight tracking website FlightAware. Most of the delays were on Southwest and United airlines.
A traffic management program for thunderstorms is delaying arriving flights by an average of two hours, according to the FAA.
Northeastern Colorado is under a severe thunderstorm watch Thursday, with tornadoes, tennis-ball-sized hail and 75 mph winds possible, National Weather Service forecasters said.
