The Regional Transportation District’s southbound E line resumed normal service Monday afternoon after reports of smoking light rail electric lines near Englewood, according to South Metro Fire Rescue.
South Metro Fire Rescue received multiple reports of smoking light rail electric lines between County Line Road and Lincoln Avenue, according to a 2 p.m. post on X. All trains were stopped and no injuries were reported, according to the post.
The lines stopped smoking around 2:07 p.m. after RTD cut the power, according to South Metro Fire Rescue, and the southbound E line was replaced by shuttle buses.
Service was back to normal as of 4:50 p.m., according to RTD’s website.
