Officials found the car involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Capitol Hill in June but are still searching for its driver, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
The crash happened at 1000 East Colfax Avenue on June 25 around 11:15 a.m., according to a Tuesday Medina Alert from the Denver Police Department. A woman driving a white 2016 Dodge Caravan ran over a male pedestrian who was later pronounced deceased. The driver stopped briefly before fleeing the scene, according to the alert.
Officials located the Dodge Caravan on Tuesday afternoon, according to a 3:58 p.m. alert from the CBI. The driver, described as a Hispanic or white woman with brown or black hair, has not yet been found. She was last seen wearing a pink tank top and sunglasses, according to the CBI.
