Metro Denver residents will have one more location where they can secure cookie butter, orange chicken and other beloved Trader Joe’s staples starting in 2025.
Trader Joe’s signed a lease agreement with Westminster city officials for a new store in the City Center Marketplace near 92nd Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard, according to a Tuesday social media post.
The shopping center already features a Barnes & Noble, Ross Dress for Less and other retail outlets. Westminster spokesman Andy Le said Trader Joe’s will open in late 2025 and will occupy 25,000 square feet.
“Westminster is excited to welcome Trader Joe’s to the City Center Marketplace,” Le said.
The site is perfectly situated near the U.S. 36 interchange and downtown Westminster, Le added. The city expects Trader Joe’s to be a top destination Westminster residents and neighboring communities.
Trader Joe’s is a national chain of neighborhood grocery stores that was founded in 1967. The company’s website said shopper won’t find a lot of branded items on its shelves. The store’s buyers “travel the world searching for products,” according to the company.
The boutique grocer currently operates stores in Boulder; Parker; Colorado Springs; Littleton; Greenwood Village; Fort Collins; and three in Denver.
