Westbound Interstate 70 reopened near Eagle and Vail after a safety closure, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
A tractor-trailer was stopped on the road and something was spilled across the highway near exit 171 as of 2:25 p.m., according to a CDOT highway camera. The highway reopened just before 3 p.m.
Traffic was being diverted off of westbound I-70 at the Dowd Junction exit because of a vehicle fire, according to the Vail Daily.
