Drivers on the far eastern plains Wednesday morning should be wary of locally dense fog and decreased visibilities.
The fog rolled in overnight and is expected to last until at least 9 a.m. in northeast Colorado, while other counties in east-central and southeast Colorado are in a dense fog advisory until 11 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
The entire eastern Colorado border with Nebraska and Kansas is in dense fog advisories.
Some areas could have visibility as low as a quarter mile.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service across the east side of the state urge drivers to slow down and use caution at intersections and highway ramps.
