A man suspected of attempted homicide died Friday after he was shot by police in Northglenn, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting happened at about 4:40 p.m. in the 300 block of East Malley Drive, the sheriff’s office said on Twitter.
Deputies were attempting to take a suspect — who was wanted on an attempted homicide warrant — into custody when he was shot, the sheriff’s office said. The deputy, who was not identified, suffered minor injuries in the incident.
The 17th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team is investigating the police shooting. The Adams County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the man who was fatally shot after family has been notified.
