About: Mici’s Handcrafted Italian, a family-owned, Colorado-based mini-chain, is opening its tenth location in conjunction with a major rebranding, a new color scheme and new interior design. The restaurant, in the Streets at SouthGlenn, has 120 seats (75 inside and 45 outside) and dedicated pickup and delivery stations, as well as delivery and catering.
What’s on the menu: Pizzas include the DiGirolomo (named for the family’s great grandfather), topped with olive oil, pepperoni, pepperoncini, gorgonzola and mozzarella; and the Vela, featuring olive oil, family-recipe sausage, ricotta, and mozzarella. There are also pastas like tortellini with Parmigiano-Reggiano cream sauce and creamy pesto, as well as salads and cannoli.
More: “The new interior design features light shades of green and natural-stained maple and ash furniture to lighten the space. New modular menu boards hang on a solid maple lattice to blend into the space,” the restaurant said. Mici’s was founded in 2004 by siblings Jeff, Michael and Kim Miceli. Eight of 10 locations are in Colorado, but the company plans to launch more out-of-state stores this summer in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Phoenix, and Detroit.
Opening: Monday, Aug. 15
