A bicyclist was hit and injured by a motorist on Colorado 119 near Boulder Falls and the driver fled the scene.
The collision happened at about 3:10 p.m. Thursday and the Colorado State Patrol is asking for the public’s help in locating the driver.
The cyclist was southbound on the road shoulder when a driver, heading in the same direction, swerved in front of the cyclist, to make a U-turn, and the bicycle rider ran into the rear of the vehicle, the CSP said in a news release.
The driver stopped, got out of the vehicle, a KIA Soul, and then quickly got back into the white hatchback and drove off. The vehicle has a Texas license plate, NPZ 6972, according to the CSP.
Anyone with information on the incident, or on the whereabouts of the driver, is asked to call the state patrol at 303-239-4501.
