Denver weather: Warm temperatures return to metro area this week

The cool days of the weekend are over for now as temperatures heat back up to the high 80s across the Denver metro area Monday.

The warm weather will continue through mid-week storm chances and into a dry weekend.

Monday’s high is 88 degrees, and it’ll be dry with not much chance of rain. Those warm and dry conditions will continue into Tuesday as the high will be 89 degrees.

Lows all week will be in the mid-50s.

It is also expected to be windy with gusts up to 30 mph Tuesday, meaning critical fire conditions are possible in parts of the Urban Corridor and plains Tuesday afternoon.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible in the mountains Tuesday and Wednesday, and on Wednesday, Denver has a 50% chance of seeing some of these storms.

Flash flooding threats range from limited to elevated in burn areas due to the potential for these storms to be slow moving.

Storms are also possible Thursday, but they’ll mainly stick to the mountains and south of Denver.

Wednesday and Thursday’s high will be in the low 80s.

By Friday, storm coverage across the area decreases and high temperatures return to the mid-80s.
