A man wanted in Adams County for failing to appear in court on 13 counts of sexual assault of a child has been arrested.
About 4 p.m. Thursday officers from Commerce City and Brighton, with the departments’ joint sexual assault task force, arrested Jason Michael Brigham, 47, in Denver, according to a Brighton Police Department news release.
Investigators tracked Brigham’s vehicle to Denver, police made a traffic stop and the fugitive was arrested. He was taken to the Adams County jail and is awaiting trial on 13 counts of sexual assault of a child.
Other law enforcement agencies, including the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Fugitive Task Force and the Castle Rock Police Department, aided in locating Brigham, the release said.
Brigham failed to appear in Adams County court on Feb. 22 after removing a GPS monitor, which was found at a bus stop.
