On the mound: In 3 1/3 innings, right-hander Ryan Feltner, penciled into the starting rotation, gave up three runs on six hits (including a home run). He walked one and struck out one. Feltner’s Cactus League ERA is 7.36.

Right-handers Noah Davis (2 1/3 innings), Pierce Johnson (one inning), and Nick Mears (one inning), as well as lefty Ty Blach (one inning), all pitched shutout baseball. Blach, the Regis Jesuit graduate, owns a 1.23 ERA over 7 1/3 innings through seven spring games outings, while Mears has a 1.80 ERA through five outings.

At the plate: Veteran third baseman Mike Moustakas, in camp on a minor-league deal, is making a big push to make the team. Moustakas hit 2 for 3, driving in three runs with a bases-loaded double in the first inning. Through three games, he’s 5 for 9 with five RBIs.

First baseman/outfielder Michael Toglia, the designated hitter Monday, hit his second home run in as many days. His homer on Monday traveled 440 feet, ranking as the fifth-longest in the Cactus League this spring. Toglia finished the game 2 for 4 with one walk, one RBI and three runs scored.
