5-year-old girl missing from Houston may be in southern Colorado with noncustodial father

Authorities in southern Colorado are asking for the public’s help in locating a 5-year-old girl missing from Texas.

The Saguache County Sheriff’s Office is seeking tips on Lea Vikhrev, who has been missing from Houston since Sept. 4, 2021.

She is described by missingkids.org as a white female with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 3’6″ tall and weighing 39 pounds.

Investigators believe the girl may be in the Saguache County area in the company of her noncustodial father, Andrew Andreyevich Vikhrev, according to a sheriff’s office report. They may be traveling in a yellow GMC Savana van with Colorado license plate CFU-097; or a gray 2007 Nissan Xterra SUV with Colorado license plate 729-YAP.

An abandoned vehicle in the county, reported on Monday, is connected to Vikhrev, whose last known address is in Crestone, according to the report. A cellphone ping placed Vikhrev near the town of Saguache on March 18.

Anyone who sees the vehicles, Lea or Vikhrev, or who has information on their whereabouts, should call 911 or the sheriff’s office at 719-655-2544.
