One person was killed in an early morning shooting in west Denver Sunday, according to Denver police.

The shooting happened at 1:36 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Yates Street, Sgt. David Abeyta said. The gender and age of the victim have not been released.

Abeyta could not provide additional information about the attack on Sunday.
