A juvenile and a man were killed and four other people were injured early Sunday morning in Green Valley Ranch after a party erupted in gunfire, according to the Denver Police Department.
Police said it appears the juvenile, who is male, was not involved in the conflict that led to the shooting.
Denver police responded to a report of a shooting just before 1:30 a.m. in the 5000 block of North Orleans Court, where they found six victims, police said in a Sunday evening news release. Ambulances took four of the victims to hospitals, and the two others transported themselves.
The juvenile and a 26-year-old man died at the hospital.
Investigators believe there was a party at the residence Saturday evening, and a group of uninvited people arrived, leading to a confrontation that escalated to gunfire, police said.
Multiple shots were fired from multiple firearms.
Police could not say one way or the other if the man who died was involved in the confrontation.
The four other victims, three of whom are men, are still in hospitals, and one is in critical condition. The fourth victim’s age has not been confirmed.
No one has been arrested, and police said some witnesses likely left the scene before officers arrived.
Anyone with information on the shooting can contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
