One person was killed overnight on July 7 in a house fire in Denver, according to the Denver Fire Department.
The Denver Fire Department responded around 3:15 a.m. to a fire at a house near West Sixth Avenue and Utica Street, according to an X post by the department.
Crews found and removed one victim who had died in the fire, according to the post.
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner on Thursday identified the person who died as Jessica McMillan, 31. The cause and manner of her death are still under investigation.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
